HIKING:      South Carolina’s Palmetto Trail.  Lake Moultrie Passage is a 33 mile section of the Palmetto Trail.  Hikers have seen deer, doves, eagles, wild turkey and occasionally an alligator, since the trail passes through wildlife management areas.

LAKE MOULTRIE: Lake Moultrie is located 31 miles north of Charleston.  The lake is well known for its natural beauty and fishing.  Visitors can view undisturbed forest habitats and swamp lands.  World class fishing is one of the opportunities along with angler fishing.

PARKS:       North Charleston Wannamaker County Park contains 1015 acres.  It has annual events and concerts, kayak renting, bicycle and pedal boat rentals, waterpark, 3.5 miles of trails-paved and unpaved, and many more attractions.  James Island County Park contains 643 acres. A waterpark, bicycle and pedal boat rentals, 5 miles of paved and unpaved trails, a 50’ climbing wall and many more activities are available.  Mt. Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park contains 943 acres.  Also available is a waterpark, a 50’ observation tower and many more attractions.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS:  Fort Sumter Boat Tour, Horse and Buggy Tour of Charleston, Wild Blue Ropes Challenge Course, McLeod Plantation, Middleton Place-Gardens, House & Plantation, Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, Cypress Gardens, and many Civil War Historical Sites.
